Pori 2005 - 2006


Back in 1989, an artist-run gallery was opened in Pori on a site that was city-owned until 2004. Then, the city decided to sell the site to a private corporation that was planning to demolish the gallery and build more productive buildings instead. The Archeological excavation was a silent protest against the city's decision and the dictatorship of money. The dig was organised in September 2005, and an exhibition followed later on.
